Our MISSION

The Elijah-Alavi Foundation is a pioneering non-profit organization committed to ensuring equitable access to life-saving resources for food allergy and asthma management across the nation. We advocate for inclusive policies and comprehensive support in childcare, schools, and businesses, regardless of socioeconomic status or cultural background. As a leading voice in the field, we provide accredited training for educators, childcare professionals, and organizations, empowering them to properly care for individuals with food allergies and asthma. In addition, we are actively engaged in research to advance understanding and improve outcomes, driving systemic change and fostering safer, more inclusive environments for all.

Our Vision

At the Elijah-Alavi Foundation (EAF), we believe it is our moral responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of children, particularly those managing food allergies and asthma. We are steadfast in our advocacy for the implementation and expansion of Elijah's Law, a landmark piece of legislation designed to provide comprehensive protections for children in childcare centers, schools, and public institutions.

Elijah's Law mandates essential measures to safeguard children, including specialized education and training for caregivers, the establishment of clear protocols, and the development of effective emergency action plans. These measures ensure that children with food allergies and asthma are protected and that appropriate actions are taken in emergencies, creating a safer environment for all.

Our mission extends beyond legislation. At EAF, we work collaboratively with other nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and public health agencies, including the CDC and FDA, to advance public health initiatives and provide essential support to families. We are committed to fostering a sense of inclusivity and equity, ensuring that no family or child feels left behind.

Through comprehensive training, educational outreach, impactful advocacy, and research partnerships, we are here to support everyone in creating a safer, healthier future. Together, with the strength of our community and partnerships, we aim to make lasting, meaningful change for all children and families.
